Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

This privacy policy explains how we process personal data when you visit gastromentoring.ch, contact us, download our free checklists or work with us. We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Who is responsible

Simply Soup GmbH
Hallwylstrasse 24
8004 Zürich, Switzerland
Managing director: Assem Klammsteiner
Contact: contact form on this website

If you have questions about data protection or want to exercise your rights, please use the contact form or write to the postal address above.

2. Visiting the website (server log files)

When you visit this website, our hosting provider automatically records technical data in server log files: your IP address, date and time of access, the page requested, the referring page, and your browser and operating system. We need this data to deliver the website, keep it secure and fix errors. Log files are deleted after a short period, unless they are needed to investigate a security incident. The website is hosted by a hosting provider in the EU (Germany).

3. Cookies and your consent

On your first visit, a banner asks whether you accept cookies for analytics. Necessary cookies are always set, for example a cookie that stores your choice in the banner (for up to one year, or one month if you decline). Analytics cookies are only set if you click “Accept”. You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” button at the bottom of the page.

4. Google Analytics (only with your consent)

If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, and Google LLC, USA. Google Analytics uses cookies to understand how visitors use the website (e.g. pages visited, time on page, approximate location, device and browser). IP addresses are not stored by Google Analytics 4. We use this information only in aggregated form to improve the website. Data may be transferred to the USA; Google is certified under the EU-US and Swiss-US Data Privacy Frameworks. Analytics data is deleted automatically after the retention period set in Google Analytics (at most 14 months). Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

5. Fonts

The fonts used on this website are hosted on our own server. No connection to Google Fonts servers is required to display them.

6. Contacting us

If you contact us via the contact form, by email or via LinkedIn, we process the information you provide (e.g. name, email address, your project and questions) to answer your request and, if applicable, to prepare and carry out a mentoring engagement. Messages sent via the contact form are stored in the database of this website and forwarded to us by email (Gmail). LinkedIn is operated by LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company; its own privacy policy applies when you use LinkedIn.

7. Free checklists and email sign-up

If you request our free checklists, we collect your first name and email address and your consent. We use this data to send you the checklists and, occasionally, emails with tips about gastro mentoring. Your sign-up is stored in the database of this website. Emails are sent via Google’s email service (Gmail, Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC). Legal basis: your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying to one of our emails or using the contact form; we will then delete your data unless we are required to keep it.

8. Mentoring clients

If you book a mentoring session, we process the data needed to carry out the engagement and for invoicing (e.g. name, contact details, information about your business, payment details). Accounting records are kept for 10 years as required by Swiss law.

9. Who receives your data

We do not sell your data. We only share it with service providers who help us run this website and our business, mainly our hosting provider and Google (email and, with your consent, analytics). These providers process data on our behalf and according to our instructions. Some of them are located outside Switzerland, in the EU/EEA (which Switzerland recognises as providing adequate data protection) or in the USA (see section 4).

10. How long we keep data

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above or as required by law. Afterwards it is deleted or anonymised.

11. Your rights

You have the right to request information about the personal data we hold about you, and to request its correction, deletion or the restriction of processing. You can object to processing, request a copy of your data in a common format, and withdraw any consent you have given at any time, with effect for the future. To exercise your rights, use the contact form or write to the postal address in section 1. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC, www.edoeb.admin.ch) or, if you live in the EU, with your local data protection authority.

12. Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, for example encrypted transmission (HTTPS) for this website.

13. Changes

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The version published on this website applies.
